  The Cooperative and Agricultural Credit Bank was established in the year 1982 AD by merging each of the Agricultural Credit Bank in 1975 AD and the National Cooperation Bank for Development in 1979 AD. To take responsibility for financing the agricultural and fisheries sector, at a time when investment projects were largely confined by the government and citizens to this sector. The bank has successfully provided financing and banking services to the agricultural, fisheries and livestock sectors, since its establishment until the end of 2003. In the year 2004 AD, after the state tended to support and encourage all economic sectors in an important step to keep pace with changes in the global economy to meet the requirements of attracting foreign investments, the most important of which is the openness and development of the banking system. To match the diversity of its services, the rules and specifications of the global banking business, which created opportunities for development, and threats of fierce competition. According to a new vision, based on these local and global trends and changes, the bank directed to comprehensive banking work, to include, in addition to agricultural financing and lending services, new and modern packages of banking services that suit all economic sectors and segments of society. With this advanced step and ambitious strategy, the bank adopted the pioneering project early on As a comprehensive banking institution, it seeks to provide the latest banking services using the latest systems and implement operations in accordance with the standards of global banking work, in a way that serves the local economy, and thus ascends from the stage of agricultural success to the stage of banking excellence, heading all of this to a society to which it belongs, saying to every member of it: Share the leadership with us.. .
