While in the northern and western governorates of Yemen, regular postal services were introduced to them in 1868 AD, and appropriate laws were put in place for them, while Yemen was part of the Ottoman Empire, where a post office was opened in Sana’a in that year, followed by the opening of a post office in Taiz in 1871 AD.
