  Saba Islamic Bank was established as a Yemeni closed joint stock company under the Minister of Supply and Trade Resolution No. 25 dated June 25, 1996 AD and Central Bank of Yemen Permit No. 311 m / m issued on April 2, 1997 AD. The bank officially started its activity on April 3, 1997 as an Islamic economic edifice with a broad shareholder base of 6,400 shareholders from all segments of society. Among the most important shareholders in the bank is the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD), the investment arm of the private sector of the Islamic Development Bank, as well as Dubai Islamic Bank, as the largest share of shareholders is with these two parties, in addition to local shareholders. The Bank carries out banking, financial, commercial and investment business in accordance with the provisions of Islamic Sharia and under the supervision of the Sharia Supervisory Board, through the main center in Sana’a and its branches spread in the governorates of the Republic of Yemen and Djibouti.
